Package Day to Day

Day 1: Arrival at Nyerere National Park

Arrive either by flight from Zanzibar or by car from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park. Meet your guide and transfer to Selous Mapumziko Lodge. Check in, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings. Spend the evening at leisure, soaking in the serene wilderness atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at Selous Mapumziko Lodge.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive and Night Safari

After breakfast, set out on a thrilling full-day game drive across the park’s open plains, riverine forests, and oxbow lakes. Keep your eyes open for sightings of the Big Five, as well as wild dogs, antelope, and hundreds of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park to maximize your game viewing time. After a hearty dinner back at the lodge, embark on a night game drive to discover the nocturnal wonders of Nyerere National Park. Overnight at Selous Mapumziko Lodge.

Day 3: Boat Safari on the Rufiji River

Start your day with a breathtaking five-hour boat safari along the Rufiji River at dawn (or enjoy a sunset cruise if you prefer). Glide past pods of hippos, crocodiles basking on the banks, and vibrant birdlife as the park wakes up or settles down for the night. After the boat safari, return to the lodge for breakfast and a relaxing afternoon. You may choose to rest, take a guided nature walk (optional), or simply enjoy the tranquility of the lodge. Overnight at Selous Mapumziko Lodge.

Day 4: Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning before checking out. Transfer back to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar or drive back to Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
